Domain Authority & Page Authority Checker

Check a URL's Moz Domain Authority (DA) and Page Authority (PA) scores.

ABOUT THIS TOOL

Check the Domain Authority (DA) of a website by entering its domain or URL. The tool uses Moz data to provide a quick view of a website’s authority and backlink profile.

How to Use This Tool

  1.  Enter the website domain or URL.
  2.  Run the Domain Authority check.
  3.  Review the Domain Authority score and available metrics.
  4.  Use the results to compare websites and evaluate backlink strength.

What Is Domain Authority?

Domain Authority (DA) is a Moz metric that estimates the ranking strength of a website compared with other websites. It is calculated using signals from a website’s backlink profile and other link-related factors.

DA is a third-party SEO metric and is not a Google ranking score.

What Does a Higher DA Mean?

A higher DA generally indicates that Moz's data suggests a stronger backlink profile and greater potential ranking strength compared with lower-DA websites. However, DA alone does not determine Google rankings.

Data Source

Domain Authority and backlink-related information is supplied by Moz. Data coverage depends on Moz’s backlink index and crawling processes. Results may be incomplete, delayed, or different from other SEO platforms.

Important Limitation

Domain Authority should be used as an SEO research and comparison signal, not as a guarantee of search rankings, traffic, or website performance.

FAQ

No. Google has never confirmed using DA, and Moz built it purely as a third-party way to compare websites' relative link strength. It's a useful benchmark, not something Google looks at.
DA is about link authority, not traffic or content volume. A smaller site with links from a handful of very authoritative domains can outscore a larger site with lots of low-quality links.
This tool needs a working Moz API key configured in the admin panel. If Moz's account tied to that key has run out of API quota for the current billing period, or the key itself is invalid, you'll see an error message instead of a score explaining exactly which of those it is.
Monthly is plenty for most sites. DA doesn't move quickly — Moz recrawls the web on its own schedule, so checking daily just shows you the same cached number.
